| 1. MEETING: A meeting with client to discuss portrait size,
composition, clothing, and setting -
preferrably before the day of the first sitting, so that the artists and client may come to know one another better. 2. PRELIMINARY WORK: For a single figure portrait, three schedule-free work days are required of the sitter. During this time, the sitter will be asked to pose in the mornings for a painted head study. The afternoons will be devoted to digital photography sessions. Before conducting the final photo shoot, the artists will present the client with several working images on their laptop computer, to insure that all are in accord concerning the portrait's attributes. * Please note that pre-existing photographs will not be considered for use. 3. STUDIO WORK: The artists return home to work on the reference photographs. The client is mailed or emailed a proposed composition, as well as several choices of facial expressions and a written letter explaining the artists' intent. Upon client approval of the reference material, a 40% deposit is due and painting begins on the final portrait. 4. LIFE SITTINGS: The Daily's travel to client for a final life sitting for the otherwise-completed portrait. At this time Joseph will aim to enhance the portrait's expression, as well as carry out any reasonable alterations to suit the client's satisfaction. Upon client approval of the finished portrait, the remaining balance is due. |
